The process we go through is as follows.

Step 1. Wash the driveway surface with heavy duty washing detergent. 

Step 2. High-pressure cleaning to remove all dirt and grime plus previous sealer.

Step 3. (Critical) Part acid part water wash to remove Efflouresence.

Efflorescence is caused by vapour migrating through the slab, bringing soluble salts to the surface of the concrete. 

Step 4. Clean and fill all cracks with self levelling concrete and / or concrete crack filler with expansive properties wherever needed. 

Step 5. Apply undercoat using Nutec clear or coloured sealer and anti slip additive.

Step 6. Apply second coat of Nutec clear or coloured sealer.

The process from start to finish can take up to 4 to 5 days depending on the size of the driveway and the weather. 

We recommend keeping vehicles off the driveway for approximately 72 hours after the driveway has been sealed
